On your arrival at Johannesburg International Airport and after customs clearance, you will be met by a representative of Trans Africa Hunting Safaris .

You will then be transported to the Game Ranch where you will be given a traditional African welcome.

Your accommodation will be in the luxury safari tented camp, each tent with bathroom en suite with a hot and cold shower and flush toilet. The camp is situated on a ridge overlooking the African bushveld, and each tent has its own private veranda with a mini bar fridge, fully stocked where you can relax and enjoy a quiet moment after a good days hunting. Alternative accommodation is hosted in our Ranch house which has been decorated reminiscent of the old african hunting era.

Depending on time of day our professional hunter will assist you with the sighting in of your rifle on the shooting range. Once completed, and time permitting, your hunt and “ African Experience ” will begin.

During a typical hunting day you will be woken a half an hour before sunrise with a cup of hot coffee or tea or refreshment of your choice. After a light breakfast, your professional hunter and tracker will take you out for the days hunting.

All rifle hunting is “ Fair Chase ”, the walk and stalk method in conjunction with a fully equipped hunting vehicle. Bow hunts are conducted from static and mobile blinds situated at waterholes or on tree stand near game paths. You will return to the hunters camp for brunch at approximately 11am depending on the status of the hunt, or an impromptu picnic style lunch can be served in the bush should you wish to continue hunting and not return to the camp.

After the days hunt, you can relax and enjoy a sundowner in our
“ Frederick Selous Waterhole ” bar situated at the boma on the edge of the ridge and watch an African Sunset. Dinner is served in the boma, which is an open air thatched dining room and meals are traditional cuisine to be enjoyed with a bottle of excellent South African wine from our large collection. After dinner, you can relax around the campfire and share your hunting experiences with our professional hunters and learn about the diverse cultures of our wonderful country and continent. Retire to the comforts of your safari tent, awakening refreshed and ready for another day of hunting in the african bush.

On completion of your hunting trip you will be returned to Johannesburg International Airport (OR Thabo) for your departure home and your trophies will be taken to a taxidermist of your choice to be processed as per your instruction.

Should you wish to extend your visit and experience some of the other wonderful sights of South Africa , we will gladly assist you with the arrangements. We also provide for non-hunters who wish to accompany you on your African Safari.
